Over 190 films at TOfilmfest.ca — with the announcement yesterday of 7 additions to the 2009 Visions program:

   • won the Camera d'Or at Cannes in 2005 for La Terre Abandonnée (The Forsaken Land)

3. Hiroshima Pablo Stoll
   
   • Won the Prix du Regard Original at Cannes in 2004 for Whisky
     
4. I Am Love Luca Guadagnino (with Tilda Swinton)
   
5. Lebanon Samuel Maoz
   
6. To the Sea Pedro González-Rubio
   
   • directed Toro Negro (Black Bull; about a bull-fighter)
     and made Nacido Sin (Born Without) with Eva Norvind
     
7. Trash Humpers Harmony Korine
   
   • writer of Kids and Ken Park, director of Gummo, and recently Mister Lonely

(Btw, if you're wondering about the difference between the Visions and Vanguard programs: Visions films tend to be more experimental with the audio-visual form of cinema, whereas it's usually edgier content that gets a film into the Vanguard program.)
