Advanced ticket packages (dropped off Monday, August 31st), will be available for pick up on Thursday, September 3rd.

The Toronto International Film Festival sells official merchandise at their box office, at Nathan Phillips Square (10am-7pm). Here are some of the items for sale:

2009 Canadian films to be announced today

The Canadian film line-up will be announced later this afternoon, at an official Toronto International Film Festival press conference.

In the meantime, Martin Knelman at the Toronto Star put together a list of some anticipated Canadian titles including:
  • Atom Egoyan's Chloë, a remake of the French film Nathalie produced by Ivan Reitman,
  • What's Cooking, Stella? from Don McKellar and Lisa Ray directed by Dilip Mehta (co-written by sister, Deepa Mehta), and
  • Mr. Nobody starring Sarah Polley (a Belgium/Telefilm Canada co-production).
